This page on Slimline Hobbies serves to provide details to you, our customers regarding the way we as Slimline Hobbies assess the card quality for the games/sets we sell.

Some games/sets you will notice that the product pages for their cards will have options to purchase M/NM, VG, G, AVG type cards. Below is a run down of the codes and what they mean.

M/NM = Mint/Near Mint: Purchasing a M/NM card will be the highest quality you can get. These cards have been taken straight out of a pack and placed immediately into a protective sleeve. These cards will not have any damage, corner wear or other such blemishes on them.

EX = Excellent: EX cards are in excellent condition. These cards may have some manufacturer wear that is straight from the pack, tiny white spec here or there on edges but for the most part, closest to M/NM you can get.

VG = Very Good: VG cards are in very good condition. Minor white specs may appear in corners or on an edge but it would be minimal and there may be minimal corner wear. These cards have been taken straight out of a pack and placed immediately into a protective sleeve.

G = Good: G cards are in good condition. These cards will have more white specs or corner wear than VG cards.

AVG = Average: AVG cards are in Average Condition. These cards can have deeper wear on the corners and deeper knicks to the card edges than what minor white specs are.

POOR = POOR: Poor cards are in the worst condition we offer and do so very sparingly and mostly for unique older cards that collectors search for. These cards will have considerable wear on edges, corners will contain the highest form of white specs and nicks, may contain creases.
